Statement of Purpose

To engage in basic research along lines that seem most likely to lead to the greatest long-term benefit to humanity. We seek to leverage the research investment in ways that trigger multiplier effects.

We are currently working in the following fields:

• Pynthantics, the science and art of posing questions. As a science, it is a branch of semiotics alongside semantics, syntactics, pragmatics, and hermeneutics. See the Pynthantics Group site.
